Nòstos (Homecoming)

This is a long-term project exploring the essential meaning of home, transforming a personal story into a universal reflection on origin and belonging. It is about leaving and returning — about rediscovering beauty in the places we once tried to escape. The work journeys through the shadows of my past, revisiting places I never fully understood. It unfolds as a mosaic of memories, dreams, reflections, and loved ones, reshaped through imagination — a fragile yet necessary act of reconciliation.Through a poetic visual language, I seek to restore value and dignity to my roots — a gesture that feels both personal and urgent in a globalized world where reconnecting with one’s foundations has become increasingly rare, and increasingly vital.
Andrea Agostini is a documentary photographer and storyteller exploring themes of hospitality and belonging — both within the landscapes we inhabit and the histories we carry. His work weaves visual narratives that examine the delicate relationship between human connection, environment, and the rediscovery of cultural heritage.
