"L.I.M.B.O. (Living In My Biological Obscurity) explores the tension between Western societal pressures—focused on productivity, wealth, and competition—and the quest for deeper spiritual fulfillment. The project reflects on how the constant drive to meet external expectations can lead to a breaking point, where the physical and psychological self is overwhelmed, prompting a release of deeply held beliefs and a return to authentic selfhood. This vulnerability becomes crucial in the healing journey, emphasizing fragility as an essential aspect of the human condition. L.I.M.B.O. suggests that suffering, though painful, is vital for personal growth and collective understanding. The project challenges viewers to rethink individualism, recognizing their role in a shared human experience where both pain and joy are interconnected. Ultimately, L.I.M.B.O. serves as a meditative rite of passage, urging reflection on our relationship with societal forces and their impact on our spiritual and personal evolution."

Federica Baruffi, visual artist known as Gesa, was born in 1983. She lives and works in the province of Bergamo, in the north of Italy. Her artistic vision focuses on the cathartic power of the image, aiming to maintain emotional balance in a toxic society that does not identify the living being as such but rather as a machine of productivity to be exploited.
