Finissage is a catalogue/artist book summing up my exhibition “A Familiar Place” at Stockholm City Museum, on show this autumn (2024). The series is about everyday life in Stockholm, Sweden. Finissage is published as a leporello by Swedish publisher Journal (2024).
About the photographer
Simon Johansson
Simon Johansson is a photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. He works in a traditional black and white photo tradition. In 2016 Simon released his first photobook Across the Bridge about everyday life on the Swedish island Öland. Since then he has released five photobooks, the latest in 2024. Simon Johansson has had solo exhibitions both in Sweden and internationally. In 2022 he received the Sune Jonsson Photo Award and in 2023 the City of Stockholm awarded him with the Lennart af Petersens Prize.
